WHAT TYPE OF MEALS DO YOU PROVIDE IN THE TREK?
We provide 4 types of meals during the trek. Breakfast, lunch, tea time, dinner and also snacks. Each food is proportionally balanced depending on the height where it is located. If we are in high areas the food that we will provide will be prepared with ingredients that can be digested very easily.
To make breakfasts usually we use the following ingredients: Eggs, fruits, plantain, vegetables, sausages, oats, quinoa, wheat, barley, chocolates, milk, coffee, jams, honey, butter, tea, bread, toast and local ingredients like cheese, organic potatoes, etc.
To make lunches and dinners usually we the following ingredients: beef, chicken, trout, alpaca, lots of vegetables, rice, quinoa, potatoes, pasta, cheese, avocado, yucca, etc.
Lunches are four courses: appetizer, soup, main dish and tea.
Dinners are three courses: warm soup, main dish and any kind of hot tea
Also we select the best local foods for your delight. Every one of the group are invited to enjoy the delicious meals made by our cooks. We get out of our way to accommodate all dietary requirements including vegetarian options and any food allergies.
Tea time we have every afternoon usually one hour before the dinner especially in the cold campsites. Tea time is to have on the dining table popcorn, biscuits, tequeños, chocolate, coffee, milk, coca, tea, different type of teas etc.
The snack that we provide is local fruits, biscuits, caramels, chocolate, etc.
